Chinese Treasure Porcelain Article of South Song Kiln

Being one of the five famous kilns as Guan Kiln,Ge Kiln,Ding Kiln and Jun Kiln of Song Dynasty,South Song Kiln is also named as pear of China porcelain.

From 1127 to 1279A.D,the capital of Song Dynasty was moved to Linan(today's Hangzhou) and the emperor called the outstanding porcelain craftsmen together to build porcelain kilns in emperor's palace.So it was called South Song Kiln.

With very complex technology each kiln was made by 72 processes and only about 1% of which could be up to standard.The up to standard kiln wereonly available by emperor and the palace and others were all destroyed.Up to now only about 100kilns have been handed down.On the Sufubi Auction in Hong Kong one piece of kiln article with number 106 was sold 25 million yuan.So it is very rare and valuable.

To resume this hi storic kiln ,engineer Ye Guozhen-the director of Zhejiang Xiaoshan Research Institute for Song porcel ain and the artist of China porcelain article,led by his brother professor Ye Hangming-the member of the National Political Consultative Conference and the director of national professional committee for ancient porcelain,make a large number of research through collecting dates,reviewing its site,analyzing its chemical compositi onand structure and simulate to make Song kiln for more than two thousand times.Through over two years'research he was succeed in resuming the Song kiln article which had been lost for more than seven hundred years in Autumn,1978.This research harvest was honored to win the second class prize in 1979.The Song kiln articles made by professor Ye Guozhen had been given to Loman Herzuke-the president of Germany as a gift as well as had been collected as century treasure porcelain articles in China Historic Museum.

In 1991 professor Ye Hongming was succeeded in imitating Song kiln articles with Hangzhou Zijin soil instead of Tortoise Hill soil by adopting modern technology and this technology was honored to win the second class prize for national invention.It is well-known in the world with its four characteristics such as :1.jade-blue glazed porcelain 2.purple porcelain 3.grain porcelain 4.refined technology;As well as it named as Chinese Treasure Porcelain Article of South Song and is the present for mayor's conference of the world.
